The Department of Education and Training’s What’s Next OOHC fund supports young people aged 15-21 who have been living in alternative care arrangements in Queensland take the next step into education, training and employment. The fund helps young people access free support services, including a What’s Next pathways officer who will help the young person find what courses interest them and enrol in their chosen courses before 2018. The fund also offers financial help with enrolment fees and other training related costs like uniforms, textbooks and occupational licenses like a Working with Children Blue Card or the Work Safety White Card. For more information contact the What’s Next team at, visit the What’s Next website or ring 3513 5393.
