Research suggests that about 90% of professionals, managers, leaders and supervisors in the workplace have never engaged in formal or professional development training to become a supervisor. Today’s workplace encompasses complexities that require a new approach to supervising staff and leading for successful outcomes.
The nature and contexts in which supervising staff takes place has dramatically changed and this training provides insights as to how to support staff in their role through quality supervision and coaching.
With the advent of advanced technologies and the virtual world in which we work, ensuring staff feel supported, valued and appreciated is crucial for maintaining a high performing workforce and professional supervision is one of the most effective ways to maintain this. This presentation is unique from many other training courses, and will explore the contexts in which supervision takes place, provide the key frameworks in which all supervisory practice occurs. This training will explore Amovita’s integrated suite of professional supervision models to ensure quality outcomes, specifically focusing on the PASE™ Model.
The training will discuss how supervision fits within a legal and ethical context and the crucial role that supervision structure and documentation plays. It will look at the role of feedback and reflection, providing new and useful tools for participants to use in their role as a supervisor or coach.
The interactive training program enables participants to explore and discuss each of the module areas throughout the training. Participants will also be provided with a selection of tools and frameworks to use in their workplace. The training will also explore the nature of evaluating supervision, assist you to assess your own supervision skills, knowledge base and core competencies.
This training has been developed to support supervisors and supervisees who are engaged in professional supervision. It reaches beyond the typical training program to explore concepts around supervision encouraging the supervisor to revisit their supervisory practice, approach, style and structure.
